ABOUT J. RUSSELL TYLER, JR.

J. Russell Tyler, Jr., has over 20 years’ experience acting as lead counsel in complex business litigation.  His areas of expertise include real property disputes, landlord-tenant disputes and advice, contracts, corporate governance, shareholder disputes, trade secrets, title insurance, mold, and construction defects.    Mr. Tyler has been successful in jury trials, bench trials, arbitrations, appeals and all phases of litigation.  He also has valuable insight and expertise in risk management and avoidance of litigation, and brings sound business and legal judgment to bear in resolving disputes as quickly and inexpensively as possible.

Prior to forming his current firm, Mr. Tyler was a partner in the international law firm of McDermott Will & Emery, where he was a member of the Litigation and Trial Practice Group.  While a partner at McDermott, Mr. Tyler was responsible for the firm’s pro bono program in its Orange County office.  Mr. Tyler was previously a litigation associate in the Orange County offices of Brobeck, Phleger& Harrison and Pettit & Martin.
